Season 1937–38 was the 61st season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Football League for the 39th time and the Scottish Cup for the 50th time. == Overview == Dumbarton made another encouraging start to the season, with only one defeat in their first 8 games, and although that form wasn't maintained fully, Dumbarton had their best season for a number of years by finishing 7th out of 18, with 39 points - 20 behind champions Raith Rovers. In the Scottish Cup, Dumbarton came up against first division Kilmarnock in the first round and despite a good fight were to finish up second best. The Dumbartonshire Cup, which had been a feature of Dumbarton seasons since 1884, was to be no more. With Dumbarton being the only senior club in the county it was agreed to disband the Dumbartonshire Association. Elsewhere, a friendly match was played against East Stirling. Note that the second goal scored against Raith Rovers on 16th October was Dumbarton's 2,000th goal in the Scottish Football League. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「1937–38 Dumbarton F.C. season」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
